To help keep Regional Support Center staff, volunteers, and coalition members up-to-date on the latest prevention programs and practices, ACT Missouri offers a variety of trainings and webinars.
If you have questions about trainings or webinars please contact us.
In addition to our training, some great links for additional trainings are:
CSAP’s Prevention Pathways- Online Courses: This site offers prevention courses that are free to the public. Some courses are meant for professionals and have continuing education credits available. Other courses are designed to provide helpful information to members of the general public interested in prevention topics.
CADCA Trainings: The Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America hold various trainings throughout the year. These trainings address substance abuse prevention on a national level.
Missouri Credentialing Board: MCB sets requirements for various credentials important to those in the prevention field. They can answer all certification and training questions.
SAMHSA’s Evidence-Bases Programs and Practices: NREPP is a searchable online registry of more than 350 interventions supporting mental health promotion, substance abuse prevention, and mental health and substance abuse treatment. They connect members of the public to intervention developers so they can learn how to implement these approaches in their communities.
Substance Abuse Prevention Skills Training: This comprehensive, four-day course is offered on an as needed basis. If you are interested in attending a SAPST course in your region, contact your Prevention Resource Center and let them know!
