Red Ribbon Week , October 23 – 31, is the oldest and largest drug prevention campaign in the country. It serves as a vehicle for communities and individuals to take a stand against alcohol and drug use by making a commitment to live alcohol and drug free lives.
Welcome to ACT Missouri’s
To celebrate Red Ribbon Week, ACT Missouri is asking communities to have youth paint red ribbons on rocks. The goal is to use painted rocks to instigate dialogues in communities about the importance of preventing youth substance use and living a substance free life! After your rock is painted and labeled with #ShowMeRedRibbonRocks, seal it with a clear coat and start distributing them around your communities. When you see one, please take photos, indicate the town where it was located, and share it on social media!
Friendly reminders:
- Only place painted rocks outside
- Do not use rocks to destroy property
- Avoid placing them in grassy areas that will be mowed
- Refrain from placing them close to streets and busy intersections
- Please post photos before or during Red Ribbon Week, October 23-31
Help us educate the general public that the power of prevention is truly ignited and transformed in our communities!
Find one of our rocks?
Take photos, indicate the town where you found it, and share it on social media!
