Dr. Sharif Mohr

Dr. Sharif MohrSharif Mohr is an epidemiologist with Drug Free America Foundation where he collects, analyzes, and interprets epidemiological data on substance abuse trends in order to inform program planning and policy at the local, state, and federal levels. Prior to joining Drug Free America Foundation, he worked on a variety of public health problems both domestically and abroad. Previous projects include HIV prevention among people who inject drugs (PWID) in SE Asia, serum vitamin D status and cancer risk in the US, and risk factors for urban leptospirosis in NE Brazil. Sharif is very passionate about substance abuse research and preventing drug use through science and policy based solutions. He received his Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from the University of South Florida in 2000, his Master of Public Health in International Health from the University of Alabama, Birmingham in 2003, and his Ph.D. in Public Health Epidemiology from the University of California, San Diego in 2012.
