- Supporting community efforts to prevent substance use by increasing education and outreach
- Creating healthy and safe communities by promoting healthier schools, homes, and workplaces
- Empowering community members to make healthy choices by addressing health concerns that
disproportionately affect certain populations - Encouraging parents and caregivers to engage in an ongoing dialogue about the dangers of
substance use and the benefit of making healthy decisions with the youth in their life - Establishing collaborative relationships among law enforcement, schools, faith-based
organizations, and/or civic groups
